Before Washing
- Never wash your Altitude in a washing machine that has an agitator.
- If you cannot follow the prior instructions you should hand wash your product
The Wash & Dry Process
- Use mild detergent like Dreft (for babies) or Nikwax Tech Wash (for technical gear).
- Choose Low Spin or Delicate wash.
- Choose Cold Wash & Cold Rinse (add extra rinse if possible).
- Hang dry until the product is completely dry.

I was looking forward to wearing this hoodie a lot during my runs. I was extremely disappointed to find that after one wearing I came away with all these snags! I admit I did not read the 'fine print' about warranty but didn't think this fabric would be so delicate when rubbed up against other fabric (had a light jacket on). Maybe the sizing was too large for me and there was too much movement. I didn't return for exchange because the customer service messages I received when asking about this issue sounded like I couldn't . I am assuming any rubbing (jacket, backpack straps, etc) would do this.
Wanted to be happy, but just am not!
These sun hoodies are incredibly lightweight and quick-drying. As someone who works and plays outside much of the summer and HATES applying sunscreen, I basically live in sun shirts. I had been wearing shirts from Outdoor Research that were basically the same material; I was thrilled when I tried the Outdoor Vitals Altitude and found that it is just as comfortable and functional as the ones I had, while it also A) is less expensive, and B) has a more form-flattering women's fit. I've never been disappointed with an OV piece of clothing, and the Altitude is no exception!
I received the Altitude Sun Hoodie as a Christmas gift. It is extremely lightweight and soft. Its lightweight and comfortable features make it an excellent option for a base layer for running on chilly days. It is also a great choice as a single layer for mild temperatures. I'm looking forward to testing it out during the summer heat but I have a feeling, I won't be disappointed. I'll be buying this in more colors.
